How It Works
When you email or call us, and we speak with you about your
legal issue, we:
- Provide you with a "diagnosis" of your case, and the specific
legal issue(s) involved.
And Then......
- Immediately recommend a lawyer to you, and provide you with
information about him/ her.
Or....
- We research your legal issue and then recommend a lawyer.
Some of the considerations that we will make to best understand your individual
needs are:
- Which area of the law (there may be several) does your legal
issue involve?
- What kind of "case" do you have?
- What kind of lawyer(s) do you need?
- Does your case require more than one lawyer or law firm,
if multiple legal issues are involved?
- One lawyer or firm may not be able to adequately handle
your case.
- You may be best served by having lawyers at different law
firms working together to address your legal issue.
- Who are the best lawyers to handle your specific legal
issue?
- What is their history of success, their "track record?"
- What is their professional reputation?
- Is a lawyer with a reputation for immediate results best
suited for your specific need?
- Do you need a lawyer who is expert at managing a case over
an extended time?
- Are their any potential conflicts of interest between the
lawyer that you may hire and the person, company, or institution
that you may be involved in litigation with?
What are your specific individual needs?
- Do you prefer a male or female lawyer?
- Do you need a lawyer that speaks a foreign language?
- Where do you live?
- Do you need a lawyer that is close to your home?
- Are you able to meet with your lawyer at his office?
- Do you require your lawyer to travel to meet you?
- Are their specific issues or particular needs that need
to be addressed?
- Are you hearing or otherwise physically impaired?
- Is there anything in your backround that affects your specific
legal issue?
- What else can we do to make hiring a lawyer easier for
you?
If it will be helpful to you, we can schedule your initial meeting with our
recommended lawyer, and attend that meeting with you.
- In every case, we will refer you to a lawyer that can best
address and resolve your legal issue.
- No law firm or individual lawyer pays us to choose them.
We Choose Them!
- You benefit from our over 25 years of experience, expertise,
and research.
- As governed by the Illinois State Bar Association ethics
code: You are under absolutely no obligation to retain the
recommended lawyer, and that lawyer has no obligation to
take your case.
How will you pay for your lawyer?
- Do you want your lawyer to handle your case on a "contingency
basis"? This means that the lawyer receives a percentage of
what he obtains for you as a result of the litigation.
- Do you want to pay an hourly fee?
- Do you want to pay a fixed fee to the lawyer for handling
the entire case?
- Do you need a lawyer who will advance the costs of handling
your litigation?
